When two of the Bay Area's leading concert pianists, Daniel Glover and Thomas Hansen, encontered each other in the Netherlands at the Franz Liszt Competition in Utrecht, the meeting was serendipitous, as together they have been able to explore the rich repertoire of works for four-hands piano. While continuing their careers as solo artists and teachers, they have also joined forces, performing duets (both playing a single piano) and duos (playing together on two pianos). For their appearance with Del Valle Fine Arts they will use a single piano, a performance form which is rarely heard because it is so demanding, yet which is incredibly dynamic.

A recent performance by Thomas Hansen was described by the San Mateo County Times as "fresh, scintillating, and lyrical . . . a rich, dynamic bravura performance." Daniel Glover has been described by the San Jose Mercury News as "a whirlwind . . . an incisive, exciting, and apparently tireless player . . . a natural for hyper-virtuosic challenge."
